Registration deadline is Jan. 30 or while places remain available
Runners from 25 countries have already signed up
(Caracas, Oct. 11, 2012). More than 3,000 people have already signed up for the CAF Caracas Marathon 2013, said CAF, development bank of Latin America.
Runners from 25 countries including Brazil, Peru, the United States, Poland and Indonesia are joining the challenge, as well as participants from every Venezuelan state.
Applicants may sign up until January 30th or while places are available on maraton.caf.com or at any of the 15 authorized stores in Venezuela. The registration fee is Bs.430 payable in Venezuela or one hundred dollars (USD100.00) payable abroad.
CAF Caracas Marathon 2013 features two races: a 13-mile (21 kilometers) half-marathon and a 26-mile (42 kilometers) race. More than 5,800 runners from 36 countries took part in the previous edition on February 26.
The CAF Marathon has been awarded the title of National Marathon Championship by the Venezuelan Athletics Federation (FVA). The race has also been certified by the International Association of Athletics Federations (IAAF) and the Association of International Marathons and Distance Races (AIMS).
